Optimal Computing is an SME established in Belgium in 2008, in the Walloon region. It develops a new generation low-code platform, VISUALIA, allowing the design of software and mobile or web applications 10 times faster than by the traditional IT approach.
Optimal Computing specializes in software application development. We have a large experience in the design of software with an important component related to data science, artificial intelligence, algorithms in general and engineering.
Optimal Computing also specializes in providing artificial intelligence solutions to its customers. We also develop and provide an IA-driven numerical optimization software called Xtreme
Optimal Computing regularly participates in European research projects and is labeled for “cheques entreprise” in the Walloon region and IA expert in the Walloon region

Stephane Pierret
CEO, founder, PhD
He is a mechanical engineer from the ‘Faculté Polytechnique de Mons’ in 1993 and a PhD in applied science from the FPMS and the von Karman Institute in 1999.
After working for the private and research sectors, he created Optimal Computing in 2008.
He has 30 years experience in C++ software developments, artificial intelligence, digital twins and numerical optimization algorithms.
Julian Quenon
Software engineer
He is a mechanical engineer from the ‘Faculté Polytechnique de Mons’ in 2014.
After working for the private sector in the field of manufacturing and auditing, he joined Optimal Computing in 2020.
He has a large expertise not only in developing C++ code but also in the front end part of Visualia.
Marie Cordier
SOFTWARE ENGINEER, PhD
She is a mechanical engineer from the ‘Faculté Polytechnique de Mons’ in 2014.
Before working for Optimal Computing, Marie was teaching assistant at UMONS in Thermal Engineering and completed in 2020 a PhD in the field of numerical simulation.
She has a large expertise in developing C++ code and strong sense of the code details and testing.
Gino Biddau
Software developper
He has a bachelor degree of HELHa in Mons, Belgium obtained in 2022.
Gino started with an internship at Optimal Computing and continued as an employee.
Gino has expertise in several programming languages, in particular, in C++ and C#.
Nacim Nait Baha
Software developper / Data scientists
Nacim has a master degree in data sciences/statistics from UCL in Belgium obtained in 2023.
Before working for Optimal computing, Nacim studied in Stockolm for 6 months and was a technical assistant at the UCL.
Nacim has large expertise in C++, Python and R. Since his arrival, Nacim already contributed to several projects.
